Save-the-date: Shadow Mentor Day

The University of Oregon is organizing their annual Shadow Mentor Day on Friday January 31st, 2014. ASLA's Student Chapter organizes the event every year. Invitations were sent out recently to firms asking if they would like to participate. If you have not seen an invitation yet, but would like to find out more about participating, please click this survey to sign up. Commitments are needed no later than December 15th.

This is an excellent opportunity for landscape architecture students to spend a day with firms learning more about the profession, recent projects and networking with local designers. It is an equally valuable opportunity for local firms to get to know current students, find out more about emerging research areas and build relationships with the next generation of landscape architects.

There will be a morning reception to welcome the students to Shadow Mentor Day, so please mark your calendars to hold the date. We are hoping to organize an informal social hour at the end of the day - stay tuned for details.
