Public Awareness Representative News
This month the ASLA thanks Robin Lee Gyorgyfalvy as she steps down from her role as the chapter Public Awareness Representative (PA Rep). She served in the post for three years and felt it was time for someone else to take the reins for a while. Robin has been instrumental in shaping the Understory events and subsequent ASLA public awareness campaigns. The new PA Rep is Rebecca Wahlstrom, who will now serve as the contact person if you are having an event, project opening, or awards gala that you would like promoted, as well as being the organizer for new PA campaigns.
Rebecca has a master list of media contacts in T.V., radio, business journals and newspapers that she is eager to put to good use – getting landscape architects and their work in front of the public eye. Be sure to contact Rebecca at least 3-4 weeks in advance, so the media of choice has a chance to get your event on the schedule. Let’s work together to further educate the public on all the wonderful things that landscape architects accomplish!
If you have a landscape architecture event that you would like promoted – contact Rebecca Wahlstrom.
