The 2000 Oregon ASLA Design Awards Programs was a gathering of the Oregon Landscape Architectural Community. It provides an opportunity to celebrate past accomplishments and current endeavors. Entrants were asked to submit projects into one of five categories, based on the focus of the project.

The projects were viewed by the design awards jury, which selected projects and distributed awards in three levels: Award of Excellence, Honor Award, and Merit Award. The jury focused on two major issues in determining this years winners:

• Which projects went beyond a basic level of Landscape Architectural Service?

• Which projects created a seamless solution and a functional integration of one design    profession to another?

There were also special awards given in the areas of public processes and community involvement.
