It is time again to raise a toast to the achievements of our community and to celebrate with our friends and colleagues. It is the intent of this awards program to honor professional excellence by recognizing the firms, individuals and agencies responsible for outstanding works of landscape architecture and environmental planning that promote an enhanced quality of life in Oregon and beyond.

The submittals from this year’s entries showed the wide breadth of projects and talents possessed by Oregon’s Landscape Architects. The soiree is our chance to celebrate these achievements, and to inspire one another as we move forward into the future. From the New York chapter jury, Andrew Moore of Quennell Rothschild, will join us as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.

Oregon Design Awards General Information
Once every two years, Oregon ASLA calls for our Landscape Architectural Community to submit our best works to the Design Awards Program. It provides an opportunity to celebrate past accomplishments and current endeavors. Entrants are asked to submit projects into one of six categories, based on the focus of the project.

The projects are viewed by a design awards jury, which select the best projects and distributed awards in three levels: Award of Excellence, Honor Award, and Merit Award.

The jury focuses on two major issues in determining the winners:

. Which projects went beyond a basic level of Landscape Architectural Service?

. Which projects created a seamless solution and a functional integration of one design profession to another?

Categories
. Landscape Architectural Design
. Landscape Planning and Analysis
. Research and Communications
. Residential Design
. Visionary, Technology and Innovation
