ORegon land Photography Contest Winners!

In the Fall 2006 issue, ORegon land invited the submission of photographs of landscapes, designed places, and people and wildlife within the natural and urban environment for our first photography contest. Winning entries were published in the Spring 2007 issue of the magazine.

 

Grand Prize Winner: Pattern by Jane Schiffhauer (location: Oregon Coast)

 

First Runner-Up: The Fields by Melinda Graham (location: NW Portland)

 

Second Runner-Up: Portal by Mark Hadley (location: Cinque Terra, Italy)

 

 

The Grand Prize: Planting Design: Gardens in Time and Space by Piet Oudolf and Noel Kingsbury

The Judge Photographer Michael Schmitt is an advertising photographer specializing in images of people. When Michael is not photographing, his two young boys are chasing him and his wife around in NE Portland. You can see Michael’s work at www.michaelschmitt.com.
