ASLA Oregon LANDbytes AUGUST 2012 Feature:

The Blog
By Rebecca Wahlstrom

The Blog; an un-assuming name to be sure, but don’t let that fool you. This particular section of the ASLA Oregon website is packed to the gills with information that you can use in your day-to-day professional life.

Do you need to find meaningful ways to fulfill your PDH requirements? When is the next EP 101 event? The next symposium? Find the answers at the Blog! The communications committee knows that you are busy, so all the links for information regarding lectures, tours, and more are all on one tidy page. Not only is the Blog a good place to gather information, it is a unique opportunity for you to tell people about your event. (Note: please make sure you leave plenty of lead time for your news to be added to the site).

In case you aren’t a regular visitor to the Blog, here is a brief primer. Start at the ASLA Oregon website http://www.aslaoregon.org/. You should be viewing the main page; after you’ve looked at the beautiful project pictures, find “Updates” at the upper middle of the screen. Click there to get the drop down menu, and chose “Blog”. Simple. Even simpler, click http://www.aslaoregon.org/blog.

You will never have to miss a single bit of information if you sign up on our mailing list. What you get in return for joining is the monthly mailing of the Newswire, which is a summary of the month’s events, job opportunities, news, and social media links. It’s another great way to stay connected to ASLA Oregon and your design community.
