SITE TOUR – THE NATURE CONSERVANCY OREGON HEADQUARTERS BUILDING

  • 821 SE 14th Ave Portland, OR 97214 (map)

Join landscape architect Pat Lando, Principal at Lando and Associates, and the Oregon ASLA Climate Action Committee for a site tour and design discussion at the Nature Conservancy’s Oregon Conservation Center. The site was designed through an extensive ecological and budget conscious process, with locally sourced materials, and a plant palette inspired by the unique plant communities the Nature Conservancy protects in Oregon. If you like to talk about Pacific Northwest native plants, climate adaptation, or habitat, this one is for you!

Pat Lando is a registered Landscape Architect and a leader in nature-based solutions for over 30 years. His practice has been focused on equitable solutions to combat climate change since it’s inception in 1990.  Pat Lando also serves as the vice-chair of the Gresham Design Commission and the Executive Director of Recode, a nonprofit organization that creates sustainable and equitable building code and policy solutions for water, sanitation and nutrient recovery systems.
