Requirements:
Undergraduate or graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
10+ years of experience in the profession of Landscape Architecture and Design
Passionate about sustainable development and urban design
Business Development/Marketing experience
Proficiency in all typical software applications for landscape architecture
Strong graphic communication skills
Core Responsibilities:
Project management on small and large complex projects
Work closely with Principals and senior staff of the firm
Mentor and supervise junior staff
Manage subconsultants and collaborate across disciplines on projects
Develop materials for community outreach and public consultation
Regularly communicate with clients and key stakeholders for various projects
An ideal candidate has:
Landscape Architect License preferred but not required
Public sector work focus (streetscapes, ped and bike facilities, parks and recreational planning and design, and natural resources planning and design)
Experience in all phases of Landscape Architecture from master planning, design development, construction documentation, cost estimating, and construction administration
Experience with creative 3D and illustration platforms such as Sketchup, Rhino, Revit, Civil3D and Lumion
Experience with design and production software such AutoCAD, Bluebeam and LandFX
Excellent verbal, written and graphic communications
Permitting experience
Self-motivated and works independently
Solid interpersonal and communication skills
Public speaking experience and ability

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Senior Designers guide project teams through the oversight and direction of Project Managers in the typical studio process. The focus of this role is to provide inspiration, guidance, and oversight for project design and process for Project Managers.
• Exemplify the Ground Studio philosophy and core values to project teams, both internal and
external
• Be a support for Partners by attending early design/site meetings and capturing big-picture
ideas to inform the project story
• Develop a project story document and communicate the vision to Project Manager and
Design Staff for the project
• Provide regular updates to Partners regarding project status and needs

and updates regularly
• Present to project teams when needed in collaboration with or on behalf of Partners
• Be thoroughly versed in Project Workflow and Project Manager job description and be able
to guide Project Managers in Ground Studio standards
