Position: Landscape Designer (Intermediate Level; 3yrs+; Bend office)

Position Description: Cameron McCarthy is seeking intermediate landscape designers (3yrs+ experience) to apply for a position available out of our Bend office, located near city center and within a short walking distance of the Deschutes River.

Our landscape designers work within project teams to develop designs from concept level through construction documentation, with assistance provided during the construction administration process. The ideal candidate is creative and capable of thinking outside the box, with a focused attention towards detail, delivery, and personal quality control. This individual should be proactive, resourceful, well-organized, personable, and efficient. Though not required for this employment opportunity, candidates who are licensed and registered Landscape Architects are encouraged to apply.

This is a full time (+/- 40hrs/week) position. Cameron McCarthy values work-life balances and aims to maintain 40-hr work weeks, however working greater than 40-hrs/week may be necessary at times to meet project deadlines. Hours worked beyond 40hr/week will be provided overtime pay. Our offices currently utilize a hybrid work schedule accommodating and recognizing the importance of both in-office and out-of-office work efforts throughout the week.

Requirements
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Landscape Architecture.
• 3+ years of experience within the field of Landscape Architecture.
• Committed to design excellence and demonstrates strong graphic, verbal, and written
communication skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft365.
• Live within, can travel to, or are willing to relocate to the Bend/Central Oregon area.

development, construction documents and construction administration.
• Adaptable and able to learn new software and production workflows.
• Experience using Civil3D preferred.
• Familiarity of or experience with LandFX, 3D modeling software (Rhino, Sketchup) and
digital rendering are advantages.
• Familiarity with landscape design practices and materiality used within the Central
Oregon region are advantages.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Collaborating, communicating and working with design team towards project
deliverables.
• Preparation of site, grading, layout, planting and irrigation designs. Development and
refinement of project details.
• Independently continuing design development and/or project tasks with proactive
outreach and check-in with teams and project managers as necessary.

Above responsibilities conducted under the guidance and training of a principal or project manager licensed or certified to practice planning or landscape architecture.

Compensation and Benefits:
• Compensation is dependent on experience and skill, and will be evaluated and
determined during the selection process. Pay range for the Landscape Designer position is
expected to be between $28 and $34 (approx. $58,240 and $70,720). Pay range will
increase for applicants already Registered Landscape Architects.
